To Enjoy Central Oregon

Downtown Bend

Tree-lined streets frame your view of the snow-kissed Cascades, as Drake Park hosts a steady stream of farmers markets, musicians and family picnics. Stroll the cobblestone sidewalks, while you enjoy an array of popular restaurants, breweries and unique street shopping.

Host to more breweries per capita than any other city in Oregon, Bend invites visitors to tour the facilities, sip and sample every brew imaginable—from the traditional to completely unique.

Hot Air Ballooning

Take in the sights of Central Oregon as you leisurely float over the landscape from the basket of your hot air balloon. Jump in to assist with the inflation of the balloon if you like and relax in the comfort of the basket while you take in the views at your own pace.

Helicopter Rides

While the views from Pronghorn are spectacular in their own right, our daylight and sunset helicopter tours will give you an unmatched view of Smith Rock, the lava lands and our vast high desert, not to mention the views of the nine peaks of the Cascades on the horizon.

Volcano and Cave Tours

Our landscape is marked with reminders from our volcanic past—lava flows, caves and even an active volcano are visible and available for your exploration. Our tours provide a unique and safe way to explore a part of Central Oregon unseen to most visitors.

Paulina Plunge

One of Central Oregon’s most unique activities combines biking and hiking as you descend over 2,500 feet to visit six pristine waterfalls and explore two safe natural watersides. Two 1/2 mile nature hikes will be required to reach the enchanting waterfalls and slides below.

For beginning or experienced climbing enthusiasts, you won’t find a more scenic and exciting setting than Smith Rock State Park. Boasting thousands of climbs with many bolted routes, you may spot golden eagles, mule deer, river otter and more.

Rafting and Kayaking

Experience the heart-pumping thrill of a lifetime in some of the most exceptionally stunning settings in the country as you escape to the wild and scenic Deschutes River.

Experience the refreshing greenery of nature as you hike along trickling streams and rushing rivers. Enjoy the local flora and fauna while the warmth of the sun fills your day.

Float the River

Few things are more rejuvenating than a warm summer day spent tubing in Bend. Snaking along River Bend Park and through the Old Mill District is the perfect way to take in the scenery and spend fun family time.

Metolius River Kayaking

The Metolius River is one of Central Oregon’s great waterways. Spend the day exploring all the Metolius has to offer, including hiking to the birth of the river as a spring bubbles out of Black Butte.

Paddle Boarding

Stand up paddleboarding may be the choice of the Hollywood stars, but everyone is doing it in Central Oregon as well. Whether you are new to the sport, or have been standing up for years, we will outfit you with the latest gear and point you to the best spots nearby.

Fly Fishing

Central Oregon is home to some of the world’s best fly fishing streams and rivers. Trout and salmon occupy our waters and are just waiting to take your fly. Our guides will put you in the best spot for the season and can fully outfit you for a great day on the water.

Upland Game Hunting

Pheasant, chukar and quail are the quarry and Central Oregon is the place to experience a rewarding hunt experience. Whether you prefer guided or self-guided hunts, we can supply the guns and dogs to make the day complete.

Mt. Bachelor

Beautiful powder in the winter and abundant hiking trails in the warm summer months. From skiing, tubing and hiking to exploring the natural splendor, Mt. Bachelor offers the ideal playground for those in search of adventure.

Get off the trail and deep into a snowy wonderland like no other. Treks are customized relative to experience level and are led by experienced guides that will bring the forest alive and interpret the natural wonder that will envelop you.

While Bend offers an incredible array of activities, only Pronghorn provides the opportunity to customize each moment to all your personal needs and desires.
